Our Story
For Tony, the sea has always been more than a backdrop—it was the pantry, the playground, and the pulse of family life. He grew up catching mackerel off the rocks, gutting crabs with his grandfather, and learning the kind of recipes you don’t find in books. For years, he cooked in kitchens across the coast, always dreaming of opening a place that felt like home.
Enter Jacob, his son with salt in his blood and fire in his belly.
After training in modern kitchens and travelling through Europe’s fishing towns, Jacob brought back fresh ideas—and a hunger to build something of their own. Together, they decided to stop talking about “one day” and made Morfarch a reality. The name, meaning sea horse in Welsh, nods to their roots: strong, stubborn, and drawn to the sea.
Now Morfarch is more than a restaurant—it’s a reunion.
Every plate is a piece of their story. The oysters are shucked the way Tony learned as a boy. The grilled octopus has Jacob’s signature flair. And the welcome? That’s pure family. Whether you’re here for a quiet dinner or a celebration, you’re part of the Morfarch table now. And the tide’s always in.
